Bailey was long overdue for her nails to be trimmed and filed. It's been about a year since we got it done - bad mum, I know. Her day started off with a bath which she absolutely despises with a passion. She'd try to hide when we say "bath time," usually behind the coffee table or by the kitchen sink, thinking we wouldn't find her. She would definitely lose in a game of hide-and-seek. Anyway, after that, we went for a walk to get her dry. It was really nice out and the weather was just magical (magical, I tell you). Then it was time. She was so eager to ride on the passenger seat, and then she realized, as we turned left towards the shopping center, what was about to happen. She started whining, and she whined all the way inside Petsmart. She wanted out! I quickly took the picture above as they were trimming her nails. That guy's face is so freaking awesome! Totally captures the moment. I wonder what encouraging words he said to her during such a traumatic time in her life.
This is Bailey on our way home, relieved to get out of there ("there's no place like home, there's no place like home...").
And this is what she did for the rest of the day:
What a sad life a dog leads!
