Since it's my brother's birthday tomorrow, I thought it was finally time to write a post on his wedding day. It was Saturday, March 22nd, and the forecast was not looking promising. There was a chance of showers, and it was extra windy due to it being right off of White Rock Lake. They served hot chocolate for their guests, who waited patiently for the
ceremony to commence, which I thought was a nice, personal touch. But the weather held up long enough for the ceremony to happen outdoors, just as the couple had envisioned. All in all, I'm so proud them for putting together a wedding that speaks a lot about who they are as a couple.
It's a little hard to have fun at a wedding with a little one. So unfortunately, I didn't get as much pictures as I'd hoped. Here are a few of my favorites.

m + k | the windsor at hebron park
Exactly one month ago yesterday, my sister married her best friend. I was so honored to stand by her as her matron of honor. It's been a busy year of endless planning for the couple. They are both very detail oriented and were very involved in everything. But their many efforts were worth it. Their dream wedding came true! I couldn't be happier for them.

m + k engaged
My sister and her fiance asked me to take their picture for the Save The Dates. We went to Adriatica, the same place where Paul and I shot some of our professional engagement pics three years ago. The heat, sunlight and annoying bugs were working against us, but we got 'em done. Here are some of my favorites.

june highlights
Hello, friends! Sorry for the month long absence. I've been trying to survive live life day by day and these summer months sure are flying by fast. Let's get caught up, shall we?
Our little man turned a half a year old! The biggest milestone this month? If you look closely you'll see them. Give up?
Our baby's got some chops! Currently, he's sporting four baby teeth and they have completely changed his smile.
We celebrated our third wedding anniversary by going out to Rick's in downtown McKinney. This was our second time there. Over dinner, we decided on making it a tradition to celebrate future anniversaries there.
And speaking of weddings, we went dress shopping with my sister and future sister-in-law. After visiting several places, my sister finally said yes to the dress!
I've got a few more to update you on, but thought I'd break it down into a few posts to get things rolling again on this sad and neglected blog. See you very soon, I promise!

Here's a great pic of three generations on Father's Day.

n + f | the room on main
Last Saturday, we witnessed our good friends get married. We've watched their love grow over the past seven years and we're so happy we could be there as they exchanged their vows.
The reception was held at The Room on Main, a restored historic venue in downtown Dallas. I was so impressed by the tall ceilings, windows and black chandeliers. The decorations that they chose complimented the venue very well.

t + m | dromoland castle
On Thursday, August 2nd, my best friend/cousin married her best friend. I was so honored to be one of her bridesmaids and be a part of it all. Here are a few pictures from their special day.
All the girls got ready in the bridal suite at Dromoland Castle, where the reception was going to take place. Tincy's dress was designed by Justin Alexander, and our pretty bridesmaid dresses are by Monique Lluillier, courtesy of Nordstrom. I was exactly 20 weeks pregnant on this day, and with the help of my sister and cousin, I was able to squeeze into my dress! Phew!

s + c | trophy club country club
On Saturday, my brother served as the best man for his best friend's wedding. These two are very similar in character - very smart, humble, and determined. They even laugh the same way. When I used to live at home, I always knew Conrad was over because I'd hear them laughing in the wee hours of the morning. We witnessed Conrad and Sophia's growing love for each other since college, and we couldn't be happier for them. Conrad just graduated from med school and is officially an MD, and Sophia will be graduating next year. What a power couple! Here are a few pictures from their special day.
They included the coin, veil and cord ceremony, which is a Filipino tradition and symbolizes prosperity, the Lord's presence, and the bonding of the couple as one.
The reception was held at the Trophy Club Country Club (Trophy Club is actually a city in Texas...just learned that last year).
The ladies all dressed up. This was after about 6 tries.
Mom and her handsome son.
Our only good picture together, and it was against the light.
The happy couple. It's evident in Conrad's eyes!
My brother's girlfriend, Jennifer, caught the bouquet! Yay, maybe wedding plans are in the works for the next year?!? Here's a funny picture when Jennifer told my brother (sorry, it's blurry).
Here's my brother doing his best man speech. We were all so proud of him!
Some details from the wedding.
{Photo taken by my sister}
Our wedding weekend didn't stop there. On Sunday, we went to our friends Francis and Nicole's Wedding Shower. Unfortunately, I didn't get to take any pictures that day, but here's one of them at S + C's wedding, and one with one of the bridesmaids (my sister).
Their wedding is on October 13th, and be assured that I will have a post on their wedding too! Also, Paul and I won the Married Couples game at their shower...OH YEAH! I was sure we weren't going to do so well, but Paul was more confident.
To finish off this wedding post, I'm not sure if you've heard but Miley Cyrus is engaged. Discuss.

m + j | the belmont
The Best Man at our wedding got married to the love of his life on Saturday. They compliment each other in every way. He caught the garter at our wedding, and they used the same garter for their garter toss. Paul also served as his Best Man - tear! We're so happy for them, and wish them all the best. (PS. He writes for a food blog too. Check out some of his work here)
The weather was perfect for an outdoor wedding. Looove outdoor weddings. If I were to redo ours, or renew our vows, I'd so do it outside. It was held at the Belmont Hotel in Dallas.
The hotel is up on a hilltop and the wedding was set up in the pool area, which had an awesome view of downtown Dallas. It has a vintage/retro/hipster feel, and of course, I took pictures.
The decorations in our room was very simple, but stayed with the retro theme.
Here is the lobby, which leads to the bar and patio. We need to go back and try their drinks, and apparently, the food at their Smoke Restaurant is pretty good too.
Sorry for the picture overload! We had a blast, and it's always a good time catching up with old friends.
As if this post isn't long enough, I wanted to wish my cousin/bff (and her Dad) a very Happy Birthday today! Can't wait for her dream wedding in Ireland this August!
