Prince George Alexander Louis of Cambridge is finally here!  As mentioned in my previous post, I was hoping for a baby girl for my Prince H.  But all is not lost.  We, and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge could very well have daughters in our future.  We can talk about matchmaking then.  But all jokes aside, I'm so happy for the new parents and look forward to following their beautiful, growing family. 

What are your thoughts on the name George?  Rumor has it that it was inspired by Seinfeld. Haha!

And Kate's dress choice.  Looove it!  If only I looked that good a day after having a baby!

a chance at royalty?

I don't think I've ever expressed my infatuation over the Royal Family on this blog.  Since I started this back in September 2011, you missed out on me obsessing over the wedding of the year (along with the rest of the world).  Which is probably a good thing because I could get annoying (ask Paul).  So when I came across this news on CNN this morning, I was overjoyed!

I was hoping Kate and I would be pregnant at the same time.  If she has a little girl (please), then maybe my boy could have a chance at becoming prince?  Hey, a girl can dream!  Since Prince William didn't find me in time, I'll just have to live vicariously through my son.  Ok ok, I'll wait until they announce that they're officially having a girl.  This is not the last you'll hear from me, folks! 

In other news, it's December already and the forecast for Dallas is highs of 81ºF today.  Goodness.  This preggo lady is NOT a happy camper!

Just wanted to say a quick thanks to my brother for helping me with my banner.  He was nice enough to take 23 minutes of his busy schedule to help me with my blog title.  The pretty background is actually the pattern on our table runner (first mentioned here), and the pillows on our couch.

I finally installed Photoshop on my laptop.  So excited to use it!  But this is going to be a work-in-progress for a while, so don't expect an overnight sensation!

So I just learned what SMH meant yesterday.  This whole time, I thought it meant "so much hate" because it's on almost every single angry status update on Facebook.  It made sense to me.  I forgot that these abbreviations are usually some sort of action, like LOL or ROFL.  Geez, and I thought I was hip and happening.  And so it begins...glad I'm not alone.

PS.  I love how he added his own abbreviation at the end! LOL!
PPS.  Now that I think of it, is it shake my head or shakes my head?  so much hate...

delish bubble tea

        

 

I was so happy when a new bubble tea place opened up close to our house!  And it is owned by my friend's family friend too!  Delish Bubble Tea offers a great selection of drinks at a very decent price.  They have bubble tea, slushies, smoothies, coffee and dessert.  For those of you who are unfamiliar with bubble tea, below is a diagram that I found on their website (via here).

I got a mocha frappucino with - get this - mango popping boba.  My sister recommended it.  I normally get just the tapioca pearls with mine, but what the hey, might as well try something new.  It basically looks like tapioca pearls, but I'm assuming the lining is so thin, that it just bursts in your mouth, and the mango comes pouring right out.  It was shockingly good!  We also shared a slice of cheesecake.  They even have Filipino sorbets, like Ubé (purple yam) ice cream!  I love the tiling on their backsplash (actually their whole entire wall) and that super fancy espresso machine that lights up.  And yes, I got a little obsessed with all the circles painted on the walls.  So if you're near the area, do stop by and get yourself some DELISH drink!

I am Catholic.  I was baptized, had my First Holy Communion, Confirmation and celebrated the Sacrament of Marriage .  I even went to a Catholic school for most of elementary through high school.  One of the first things we did when we got married was register as parishioners at the church close to our house.  I felt like such an adult!  This is all I've known all my life.  I'm not saying I'm religious.  I could use some work in this area, but we try to go to church every Sunday and say our prayers at night.  So when the priest made an announcement that there were going to be some changes made to the Mass (beginning November 27th), it made me sort of question myself.  I'm not quite sure what the changes are exactly, but from what I gather, I think they're changing some of the prayers said at Mass (via here). 

I read in this Sunday's Bulletin that there's a free app you can download called iBreviary Pro Terra Sancta (or iBreviary TS).  It has the order of the Mass (old and new), readings, prayers, lectures, etc., right at your fingertips.  This is a great tool for reflection, prayer, and gives you less of an excuse to not have time for God.
